Bank Gabarone opens a branch in Maun a year after opening the Palapye one.
The bank has been previously offering clients unsecured loans through its BG Finance division and wanted to give the people of Mauan a wider range of financial services which would help give them greater access.
Maun was selected by Bank Gaborone to increase its retail prospects and to service both the Maun community as well as the surrounding areas. BG finance will continue operate from its current location and will keep offering unsecured loans.
The new branch in Maun offers a wide range of services and products including savings accounts, business banking, investment accounts, foreign exchange services, vehicle finance and electronic channels including E-pula Internet Banking and Tobetsa mobile banking.
The bank said it has launched its new E-pula internet banking to individual customers to further commit to servicing clients with the best products. The new E-pula benefits from more security and is more user-friendly.
Bank Gaborone has been operating in Botswana for over 10 years and it will continue its mission to connect Botswana with a meaningful banking experience. The bank was awarded a banking license by Bank of Botswana on February 1, 2006 and has been providing banking services since September 2006. They have a network of nine retail branches, 12 BG unsecured lending offices and 17 ATMs across the country.
